Larnaca Airport Buses
There are a number of options available regarding transportation to and from Larnaca Airport and during your stay.
You may prefer to hire a car online where we can provide you with a free quote or you may prefer to pre-book a private transfer to your hotel or resort.
However, if you do decide that you would like to travel via bus then we have all the information you require in the sections below for bus services in Cyprus.
Buses From Larnaca Airport
Intercity buses are available to take you into town between 06:30 and 16:00. Bus number 22 and 23 links the airport with the city centre (Larnaca), but there are no buses on Saturday afternoons or on Sundays
Buses depart from the bus stop inside the car park to the left of the front of the terminal building and the main tourist office is less than a 5 minute walk from this stop where a driver will be more than happy to give you directions.
Buses leave the Airport at 07.55 - 08.55 - 09.55 - 11.55 - 12.55 - 15.55 - and 16.55. The last bus on Saturday is at 12.55 and on Sunday there is NO service.
The cost of the journey is €1.20 and tickets are purchased on the bus from the driver.
To Nicosia the buses depart the Airport Monday to Friday at 06.25 - 08.40 - 10.40 - 12.40 - 14.10 and 15.40
To Limassol the buses depart the Airport Monday to Friday at 07.40 - 09.40 - 12.40 and 16.10
To Ayia Napa the buses depart the Airport Monday to Friday at 09.40 and 14.40
To Protaras the buses depart the Airport Monday to Friday at 09.40 and 14.40
During Saturdays all buses depart once only at 13.30 apart from Ayia Napa. There is NO service on Sundays.
Larnaca Bus Services
The bus terminal in Larnaca extends along the entire length of Leoforos Athinon avenue, which is the town’s main seaside promenade.
Buses arrive and depart to all of the major cities in Cyprus several times each day. There are two main bus companies on the island and these are Kallenos and EMAN.

Bus Services in Cyprus
The public transport system in Cyprus can be limited and there is no train service available. However, inter-urban public bus services connecting major towns, urban buses which run within most larger towns and tourist centres, and rural buses connecting some of the smaller villages to their nearest towns are available.
Buses are not always consistent in appearance, though the destination is usually displayed in the windscreen. Bus time tables and schedules are available from tourist offices or directly from the bus companies.
Be aware that services stop early daily (at around 18:00) and there is limited bus services on weekends with some areas having no service on Sundays.
Bus fares are paid directly to the bus driver where exact change is preffered.
Shared and private taxi services provide an alternative method of transport where the options include shared inter-urban service taxis, rural taxis and urban taxis.
Bus Services Throughout Cyprus
You will find that there are various bus companies that will link all the major towns with a regular service departing every one or two hours. Bicycles can be taken on some of the buses serving the main intercity routes.
Three bus stations are located in Limassol, and the intercity service is usually offered from the KEMEK bus station at Enoseos and Eirinis Street, and also the Kallenos bus station at the intersection of Hadjipavlou Street and Araouzou Street.

Buses run on fixed routes approximately every half hour within urban areas with services coming to an end in the evenings at around 18:00 throughout Monday to Friday and finishing earlier on Saturdays.
Hours are extended during the tourist season up until midnight and you will find that some routes have no service during Sundays. Timetables are available from tourist offices or directly from the bus companies.
The municipality of Nicosia runs Yellow Busses which actually offer free transportation within the city walls. The Nicosia Bus Company also offers service throughout the area.
